Ok, WOW!!!, it’s been a while huh? Well, I’ve had alot going on the past couple of years. In Februay 2007 I went to the US Army’s Warrior Transition Course. This course is designed to train previous sailors(me) and airmen to become soldiers. Whle I was at WTC my unit, HHC 1/175th Infantry received orders to deploy to Iraq. So, I finished up WTC, went to 11B school(Infantryman) and mobilzed with my unit to Fort Dix, NJ on May 25, 2007. We had our train up and deployed to Iraq. We arrived in Kuwait in August 2007, had another 10 day train up, and then it was off to Iraq. Sure, I could have kept up with my blog, but, I wasn’t some pogue bitch that had time to sit around thinking what I was going to put on my blog. Besides, I really didn’t want to sit around thinking if what I was writing was in some way violating operational security. Those military types out there reading this know what I’m talking about. Anyway, I made it back to the states about a month ago now and have been transitioning between home and Fort Dix. I have been temporarily attached to a unit at Fort Dix while I await to depart for Warrior Leader Course, a school I asked for and was given to attend at Camp Cook, La. at the end of this month. There is so much more that I can write about, like my travels and such, but, those close enough to me to know about those things, already know. Thank you and have a nice day.

Alright, hello to all those who frequent my blog, all two of you. So, Kathy and I went to Stephanie’s graduation a couple of weeks ago. It was a good time and it was really nice seeing Steph for the first time in what seemed like forever. After the ceremony on Friday we drove to Charlotte and stayed the night. Kathy flew back Saturday morning and slim and I headed to Atlanta. We had plans to visit Netherworld on Saturday night. Netherworld is a “haunted house” attraction that has been in the Atlanta area for 10 years now and was recently ranked the #2 haunted house in the country. It was pretty cool to say the least. I can’t say that I was ever really scared at any point but I was startled a few times. There were lots of screams emminating from other patrons. Sunday morning we drove the rest of the way to her Advanced Individual Training(AIT) location at Fort Rucker, Alabama. There we had to part ways most suddenly and unexpectedly due to some miscommunication with the AIT cadre. I then drove the 500 some miles back to Charlotte for my flight out on Monday. It was a good weekend overall and it was definitely a pleasure to be afforded the opportunity to spend some quality with Steph since she won’t be able to get home until December 20th for Christmas.
So, last night was Halloween and I had the privilege of walking my children around the neighborhood. Kathy, who is 37 weeks pregnant at this point, stayed home and handed out candy to the other trick or treaters. Hannah was a mermaid fairy, Jacob was Buzz Lightyear, and Sarah was a unicorn. They were all very cute and enthusiastic about there costumes and the candy they were receiving. There’s nothing cuter than hearing a 2 year old say “Tank To” over and over again. Overall we hit about 20 homes and the kids had more than enough candy. Well, I guess that’ll do it for now, so, as always, Peace and have a nice day.

almost a month later. I really do have intentions for keeping this thing updated. The fact is that I have been busy as hell, but, as any parent knows, it isn’t really much to talk about. I had my brother Joe’s wedding this past weekend where I was a groomsman. This week Kathy and I will be heading down to Fort Jackson, just outside of Columbia, SC, for Stephanie’s boot camp graduation. Kathy is now 36 weeks pregnant, so, we will have the new baby here real soon. I have added pictures from the wedding this weekend to the photo album located here. I have also, since my last, joined the National Guard as a Private First Class (PFC) and am assigned as a Fire Support Specialist (MOS: 13F) with the 1st Battalion, 175th Infantry Regiment, 58th Brigade Combat Team, Maryland Army National Guard. The big topper for the month was my vasectomy, performed on September 29th. No more younguns for me! So, seeing that I will be gone for the rest of the week, I will not be updating again before the middle of next week. Peace and have a nice day.

Ok, well, I started this blog a week ago and have only two entries since its inception. Sue me. As if it weren’t obvious enough from my last entry, I am a busy guy. I really do have every intention of keeping this thing up to date with family happenings and my own personal rants from time to time. My birthday was this past Wednesday, I turned 34 for those of you without a clue. It was a good day, right up to the point where I dozed off on the way home from bowling and smashed my truck into the back of some other poor guy’s truck. Fortunately, neither of us was injured and his truck sustained what appeared to be minimal damage. It looked as though just the rear bumper had been pushed under the truck a bit. My truck however is seriously hurting. The whole front end is smashed, both air bags deployed, cracking the windshield. The important thing is though that nobody was hurt. Everyone in the family is doing fine. I talked to Chris in Camp Lejeune the other night and he is going on field exercises for 26 days, which means he won’t be able to get leave to attend Stephanie’s boot camp graduation. It was nice that he was going to try. Stephanie is doing well and graduates in just under 4 weeks. The children, well, they’re children, every day is a new and wonderful adventure. Hannah and Jacob did well, as usual, in Pre-K this week and Sarah’s linguistics are becoming more clear with each passing day. Kathy is doing about as well as someone 32 weeks pregnant can be doing, but she has always been a trooper so it is hard to tell sometimes exactly how she’s feeling. I hope this has quenched your appetite for news for the time being. Peace and have a nice day.

Well, here we are again. I thought I would take the time in this here my second blog posting to lay out some facts and history. I’ve been married to my wife, Kathy, 8 years this September 30th. It has been a great time. Some ups, some downs but thus is life. When we married, I gained two great stepchildren, Chris who is now 19 and Stephanie who is now 17. Chris is in the Marine Corps stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and Stephanie is currently attending Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC for the Maryland National Guard. I myself have been attempting to join the Maryland National Guard for over a year. But, when you have a rocky history such as mine, your past transgressions want to catch up with you. Things are looking up though and I should have a decision very soon. Onward, between Kathy and I we have 3.5 children together. We have Hannah Jane who is 4 (By the way, the name has absolutely nothing to do with the Hootie and the Blowfish song, just coincidence). We have Jacob Zachary who is 3, and we have Sarah Elizabeth who is 2. I know, I know, you’re wondering where the .5 comes from. Ok, we will be having our 4th child together in November. It’s supposed to be a boy, so, as long as it still has a penis on arrival, his name will be Noah Benjamin. Alright, that is enough history for the day. Peace and have a nice day.
